It’s that time of year again! Caps and gowns and diplomas run rampant and happy graduation cards are flocking to mailboxes. This means grads are leaving their small, cramped college dorms and heading out to the big, real world.

Something that parents, friends, or relatives can give as a great graduation present is a cleaning service. It may not be a traditional graduation gift but it’s certainly practical. Maybe your graduate is moving home and you haven’t vacuumed their room since before Christmas break. A cleaning service can get their space spic and span before their arrival to make them feel at home again. Maybe they’re moving out into the real world into an apartment of their own or with roommates they met in college. A maid service can be beneficial to them once they’ve unpacked or maybe after they’ve had their first party

While your graduate is perfectly capable of taking care of themselves (and they’d have to be after surviving four+ years of college without mom doing their laundry), they will never turn down a little bit of help. Besides moving into your own place or starting a new life outside of college or what you’re used to can be scary. Make it a little easier by helping them with simple household chores!

In a few short weeks couples and families across the country will be packing their vans and SUVs to take their trips to their favorite vacation spots. They’ll be leaving for a weekend, a week, or more to enjoy the sun, the sand, and the surf.

The thing that a lot of the people worry about while they’re gone is burglary, plumbing mishaps, and natural disasters. However, what they should worry about is the accumulation of dust, the dishes the might be in the sink, and laundry that didn’t get finished before you left for the beach. That’s why a great New York cleaning service is the perfect thing you need for your vacation to be as relaxing as possible!

Wouldn’t it be nice to come home to a clean house from top to bottom? A home cleaning service can do a lot of the work that you neglected to do before your trip and even before that while you’re away. Coming back from a relaxing vacation to a house devoid of dirty dishes and laundry and dusted from crown molding to hardwood floors can really be a load off of your mind! All I can say is that to enjoy the Jersey Shore to it’s fullest you need to know that your house is being taken care of to it’s fullest!

General Household Chores

April 23rd, 2012 | Posted by KristinG in Cleaning Services - (0 Comments)

Busy people can sometimes forget the little things. Heck, busy people sometimes forget the big things! I can remember once when my mother forgot to pick me up at school because she was so busy trying to get everything else in life finished, errands run, and two other kids to take care of. I understood but I thought it would be better for everyone involved if I was never left at the school again.

Luckily for my mom, there are maid services that can help you run general household chores. Suddenly, without the added stresses of “did I walk the dog,” and “I forgot to go grocery shopping,” your life is less cluttered.

People think that home cleaning services are only for making beds, doing dishes, and running the vacuum cleaner, but they’re wrong. The great people at maid on call also do laundry (wash, dry, AND fold!), they help you clean apartments when you’re moving in or out, and they can even run errands.

If you have a room in your apartment that has become the catchall room and you need help organizing it they can do that too. Don’t get so busy that you forget your child at school. They’ll hold it over you for the rest of your life. Believe me.

My kitchen table was covered in mail.  My sink was full of dishes and my laundry was piled two or three weeks high. I really needed to sweep the floors and my carpets were in desperate need of vacuuming. How did it get this way? How on earth did I let it go this far? I remembered back to the weeks before. Religious functions where I was gone for days at a time and sudden illness had stopped me from being even remotely productive in the way of cleaning the apartment.

It was definitely time to ask for some help. Luckily there is a fantastic cleaning service in New York and calling them is like calling in the cavalry. In a flash the dishes were done, the table was cleared of all junk, and my floors were immaculate. It was as if the last few weeks of inaction on my part had never happened.

There are times where things just pile up and you can’t take care of it yourself. Don’t be overwhelmed, call in a New York cleaning service before it gets any worse! Trust me, you will be really glad you did. Coming home has become a pleasure again.

Even as our apartments tend to be smaller than the rest of the country, New Yorkers’ homes can quickly become quite messy. There is the constant influx of take-out food containers, a wealth of magazines and newspapers that can begin to pile up quickly, that strange stench from the pile of clothes in your bedroom. New Yorkers rarely cook in their tiny kitchens and generally are forced to do laundry at a laundromat. As a result things in the general maintenance of their homes tend to be reflective of a lack of specifically decided on “clean up time.”

Luckily there is the Maid On Call cleaning service New York, which has been waiting with baited breath for. They can do a thorough job of making your New York apartment not just presentable but sparkling. Even if your busy schedule has you out of the home for far too long the precious moments spent there will now be spent relaxing in cleanliness rather than extending the filth of the New York city streets into your apartment.

New York cleaning services understand your needs and with the small amount of space they actually can be incredibly affordable. Even as your rents are too high you can still employ some maid services to save you time.

Perfect Time for Cleaning

April 2nd, 2012 | Posted by KristinG in Cleaning Services - (0 Comments)

There’s a reason that this time of year is marked off as a time for cleaning. It’s the perfect time of year for it! Consider my situation, for example. There have been a mounting pile of clothes that I’ve been meaning to donate to charities. I have a chair I need to put out on the curb and my house is in absolute disarray. I feel like a bear who spent all winter eating ice cream out of the containers and sitting in the same sweatpants each Saturday night. Okay, maybe less of a bear and and more of a girl who didn’t want to go out into the cold.

That’s why spring is the absolute perfect time for hiring a cleaning service. Having a maid come in and help you tidy up after your winter hibernation and doldrums is definitely an asset. Get yourself into the warm weather with a facelift of your apartment. It’s a known fact that your messy apartment can actually cause lethargy and apathy when you enter it. It’s a feeling that you don’t want to do anything.

That’s certainly not what you want to be feeling when it’s bright and sunny outside! Get your rear in gear and clean up for spring!

You know how you have incredibly good intentions of cleaning the house when you get home from work? You make the plans and figure out exactly what you want to do and what order. Then you get home and think “I’ll just sit down for a minute.” The cat comes and sits in your lap and all of a sudden it’s time to hit the hay and you haven’t done a thing. I’m like that all the time.

Having a cleaning service or a maid service can alleviate any of the self-loathing that you feel when you fully intended to work hard but ended up doing nothing. Look, we all understand. Working hard at your day job all day and then commuting home can take a lot out of a person. It’s not your fault that you’re tired! There’s absolutely no shame in saying “You know what? I’m exhausted and I just want to sit here.”

When you hire a maid service you can sit on the couch for an evening of relaxation after a long day of work and not worry about the dishes piling in the sink or the laundry bursting from the closet. It’ll all be taken care of. You just rest.

Maid Service for Moms

March 19th, 2012 | Posted by KristinG in Cleaning Services - (0 Comments)

It is no secret that moms are busy people. They have families to take care of and a household to run. Most moms are also in the workforce as well. This can lead to a pretty hectic schedule and a huge workload both at home and at work. You need to remember soccer practices, dance recitals, and all other manner of things to keep your family in order! There are so many things that you need to remember that some things get swept by the wayside.

Being a mom sometimes means late nights doing dishes and folding laundry, wouldn’t it be nice if someone would do that for you? A maid service would be amazingly wonderful for a mom! Imagine coming home to a clean house with the dishes done and put away, the laundry folded, and the vacuum run! It’s almost like a little miracle, and it’s definitely a load off of a busy mother’s shoulders.

It’s not just working mothers that need the help either. Stay at home moms need a little rest and relaxation every once in awhile, too! It’s nice to have a cleaning service come in and help you take care of things or just help you with the upkeep of your home every once in awhile.

There are so many things that business owners need to take care of to keep on top of their game. They need to worry about taxes, business expenses, overhead, and other business related things. But what if your business is yourself? Freelancers who jump from job to job sometimes barely have enough time to eat and shower let alone take care of their apartments. This is where a cleaning service comes in handy.

If they’re not currently working on a project or job they’re looking for one. Freelancers are a busy bunch and they’ll tell you that the first thing to go (after a thriving social life) is the maintenance of their apartment. A maid service can help with that.

At this time of year an actor is having a really busy season. They’re auditioning for everything from Broadway musicals to smaller regional summer gigs. They also have to hold down day jobs so that they can survive. With all of this work happening at the same time of the year, you can only imagine what kind of state their living quarters are in. Laundry everywhere, dishes in the sink, and dust bunnies so large they might be in the starting stages of sentience.

If you love an actor, or an artist, or a freelancer, send them a surprise cleaning service. They’ll definitely thank you for it.

Regardless of what the groundhog says, I mark the beginning of spring with the beginning of  baseball season. So since today is officially the first day of spring training in baseball it is also the first day of spring. Happy spring!

Uh oh, that also means I need to start thinking about spring cleaning. My apartment becomes an absolute wreck a few times out of the year. Once is right before Thanksgiving and once is right before baseball season starts (i.e. spring.) It’s at these times that I have to call in a house cleaning service.

I don’t do that whole “clean before the maid comes” thing. I realize that I’ve let my apartment go and I own that. That’s why I have to call a maid service in the first place. So, right as baseball season really starts taking off I can actually do my fantasy league draft at my kitchen table because a fantastic service has deep cleaned my apartment and I can actually see my kitchen table again. I can also have people over to my apartment to watch the games because I’ve had someone help me vacuum the floors and help organize all of my stuff. I love baseball season. Happy spring!
